BC Fish Farms and Bloodwater

The pipe is connected to Brown's Bay Packing Co., a farmed Atlantic salmon processing plant near Campbell River, B.C. It's also near one of Canada's biggest wild salmon migratory routes.

Recent info about the American government's plan to repeal net neutrality.

Personally, I feel that, even in a best case scenario, if/when this sort of thing does happen in America, it's most likely to set a precedent for many other places in the world, including Canada, to allow our internet providers to make the web more expensive for us to use. With this, and them being given the ability for our web providers to keep us from seeing anything they find undesirable or at odds with their models, it's likely this will impact the transition model of social media (and the web at large) in a primarily negative way.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Comments On the video "Connected...but Alone":
I feel that my use of mobile technology is somewhat over-dependant, although my family often tells me that my use is far less than most people…
While I don’t often feel desperate when I am not on my phone, I don’t think I have been far away enough from my phone to fully say if I could ever ‘miss’ my phone.
Sherry Turkle makes this argument by showing us that when we are together, we never seem to be paying full attention to each other, and hiding parts of ourselves to others.

I do agree with her, in that people in my family often seem to be further removed from each other when we socialize, all though my family does uphold refraining from using our phones in groups.
I did my photo field assignment at the Victoria Bug Zoo- you can check out the photos and facts when you follow the link.
