Recent info about the American government's plan to repeal net neutrality.

Personally, I feel that, even in a best case scenario, if/when this sort of thing does happen in America, it's most likely to set a precedent for many other places in the world, including Canada, to allow our internet providers to make the web more expensive for us to use. With this, and them being given the ability for our web providers to keep us from seeing anything they find undesirable or at odds with their models, it's likely this will impact the transition model of social media (and the web at large) in a primarily negative way.

Anyone else have any thoughts?
